PRI History
PRI Audit & Control (PRI), a division of Professional Resources International, Inc., began in 1984 as a group of internal consultants/auditors for Clark Equipment, a former FORTUNE 500 Company. PRI Audit & Control is a professional, independent internal auditing firm that has been providing internal and information technology audit services continuously since 1984, making us the world's first firm dedicated solely to providing these services to our clients. While other firms have followed us into this profession, we continue to set the standard by which others are judged. Our philosophy is one of cooperation and coordination. Since we do not perform certification audits, we are not in competition with the external auditors for the certification audit. Therefore, we are able to work more closely with your external auditors than public accounting firms because PRI is not a threat. Because PRI is not your external auditor, and completes no certification functions, we are truly an independent service provider.
Because the core of our business has always been internal auditing, our approach combines an internal audit perspective with personal attention and professional expertise.
The PRI objective is to help management resolve financial, operational and information systems control concerns in an efficient and cost effective manner. We combine our experience in auditing and consulting with your management's knowledge and expertise to develop a systematic, risk-based approach to identify and address concerns. We provide you with the audit team that best meets the internal audit support you need to objectively identify and mitigate internal control risks, strengthen your internal control infrastructure and minimize your exposure to loss and inaccurate financial reporting.
We pursue partnership with management and work with them in a positive and proactive manner to improve controls and enhance operational efficiency. The scope of the audit plan is developed through communication and coordination with your financial, information systems and operating executives, as well as the audit committee of the Board of Directors, to ensure the audit plan meets your objectives.
